Since we sleep with a fan nightly (for both background sound and air circulation), I do like the metaphor. And there is something to be said for intermittent gratification. But at 68, I sometimes long to be on a low beach chair, hand touching the sand, book at the ready, drink on cooler, with a steady, soft, gentle breeze off the ocean….. because my life sounds a lot like the attorney writer!
